Hasay lost a shoe with about a mile left in the race. Oregon women were second.

Any word on Ross Millington this season? With him, new mexico is a potential podium team
Oregon, New Mexico and Florida state all looked like top 5-6 type teams today. All the other ranked squads in the meet had major issues. if new Mexico gets one back healthy they might contend.
I heard Ross should be back by the next meet. I don't know how close he'll be to the top 4 guys, but he might get there by the end.
I think Millington's foot is jacked up. 4 guys can only do so much.
FOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 24:08 not to shabby. He is getting back into the swing of things

Other ranked squads like who? UCLA was barely in the top 31 and Bama, ASU, and Nova all clearly either ran not full squads, or else are hopelessly out of contention to make nats.
Regarding New Mexico, they had 4 good runners today, but don't forget they lost to Duke and NC State last week. Could go either way.
What I see from this meet are three decent teams beating up on a lot of nobodies, and a very weak/vulnerable Oregon squad.
If Leeder runs like he always does in big races FSU finishes right in the mix of things with UO and UNM.

'Bama ran with pretty much their full team -- missing one of the 6 Kenyans on the roster.
ASU did, too...didn't seem to be missing any of their top 7. Is Hatcher coming of an injury perhaps?
'Nova travelled a long way not to run with several of their top runners (2 Kiwis and an Aussie).
Butler looks like they were running their top dogs, too (pun intended).
Seems like all but 'Nova had enough top runners toe the line to hold up as points earned come regionals. Still, this is early in the season and a lot is still shaking out.
How about where Tulsa and Penn State were ranked regionally prior to this race (both are currently #7 in the region).
ASU's fifth man lost his shoe pretty early on and was in last through 2 miles, made up quite a bit of ground hopefully for their sake he can run better with 2 shoes.
Villanova website prior to the meet said they were holding out their top 3 returners - Mildenhall (XC All-American), Beamish (top 70) who had minor injuries, and Gibney who was healthy but coming back from an injury in the spring.
The teams ahead of them will be pissed if they dont get the point for beating them here.
Megan Goethals? What happened? 165th? 18:58 for 5k? confused
I LOVE YOU JEREMY RAE! GREAT RUN! DUNCAN WHO? COLLIN WHO? KEEP IT UP, YOU'RE HEADING FOR A GREAT YEAR!

11th place finisher in the woman's blue race in 16:47 was Amanda Moreno, of UC Santa Barbara. She ran for Escalon HS a few years back and was 10:35 HS 3200 runnner. She went to Nevada-Reno was hurt and then disappeared. She was only 8 seconds behind Hasay. Great performance from her. It's nice to see results with runners have come back from injury. It's also nice to see Fouts starting to run well again.
this seems to be the season of comebacks for the class of 07....great races for puskedra and fout
washington girls bombed...wonder whats goin on with goethals
over heard some people saying she is having knee problems but I can't confirmed that. I was there, she did not look good. Her knees were rapped and she was struggling early. It was little warm outside, but who knows. I don't want to be shit starter but I didn't realize how skinny she was.
Jordan lost a shoe....she up front then all of sudden she was 8th place
Mike Fort was up front early and that was nice to see. 9th place and beat guys like AJ.
Luke P looked was boxed in early...after 700 meters in was around 100 place....by the mile he was with leaders but did not look good...looked very tired but still pulled off the win.
props to the Stoney Brook twins...1st and 6th....I know XC pretty well and was stumped at the finish line!
was hoping Christine Babcock would be there since she was in the line up....but ended up being a no show.
What's with all the Husky runners "not feeling well today"
That's pathetic.
Relax. It is October 1st. I dont think that they are as good as they are ranked but I would bet that there are a lot of changes in the results over the next 6-7 weeks!
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
