A lot of good classics.
1. Double Dragon II
2. Mario Kart
3. Tecmo Super Bowl
4. Super Mario Bros.
5. Bases Loaded
ok, this will reveal my age, but i'm a huge fan of the satnd up old school Galaga.
Final Fantasy 7
FFVII
FFX
Super Smash Brothers (Melee, but 64 is also great)
Dance Dance Revolution
There are way more, but those are just some of the games I've enjoyed recently. I could make a list of 100 if I went all the way down to the NES.
HALO!!!! Halo is the greatest video game ever created.
I don't play video games anymore, but I loved Mario Kart for the SNES and Super Mario Brother 3 for the NES. Also, Resident Evil 2 for the Playstation was pretty good....
Was anyone any good at Track and Field for the NES? The game used the power pad and you had to run in place on the power pad to beat other racers on the track.. I remember using my hands instead of my feet for that game :P
2600 nailed down some good ones. i actually own a few arcade games (including a pacman).
i'm amazed that you left galaga off of your list, though. galaga is perhaps the best game ever. other classics that you left off your list include space invaders, donkey kong, defender, frogger. it's a shame that nintendo came along and killed arcades. i hate that, even though i was born in 80, and too young to ever really enjoy arcades.
My son 2:18 Jr. loves all the yu-gi-oh games. He also likes computer chess. This six year old can really kick butt.

You do know that some knucklehead finally got a perfect game at pacman? He's been in his mom's basement playing since 1981.
I have a full sized upright Track & Field coin-op as part of my Track & Field collection. I also have a HyperSports upright; a Mortal Kombat II; a HyperOlympics cocktail; and an upright MAME arcade that plays all 3500 ROMS from the early 80's to present. Nothing beats the sound of the button bashing that goes with Track & Field:)
...KW
sonic the hedgehog, the originals of course
Way to many to choose from.
I like the games from the Mario series those have always been awesome games. For Old school Atari Space Invaders, Joust, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong Jr., way to many old school games that are pretty awesome.
Did anyone play MegaMania for the old Atari 2600?? I loved that game.
Other quality old games not mentioned:
Tank--I think it was called this, but it was where you had two tanks or planes, and a board and two individuals try to shoot each other. You could have straight up or ping pong bulletts.
Fast Food--don't eat the purple pickles
Pitfall
the key is downloading a emulator and playing all your old favorites for free
That's true.
the ROMs are hard to find but if you can get a batch they rock
HALO duhhhh
MAME...that way you can play all the old arcade classics on your home PC.
