How arrogant was that winner?
Solinsky on twitter: "I really wish I was racing at 5th Ave Mile today in NYC, instead I'm running 2 hrs with @SimonBairu & @ThatRunnerGuy for their NYC race."
I bet he does, should be a good race
is the feed really jumpy for anyone else??
Also Meb: "I Always wish I could do a mile race & also break the 4 min barrier. My best 12 yrs ado 4:01. May there is still hope..."
This is THE event in running right now apparently
Does the feed keep stopping for everyone else or does my browser/connection just suck?

Well, it was the only coverage available here in the UK, so many thanks to Letsrun for covering it...
I want to thank the NYRR also for streaming this event. I was amazed that I could watch it will in a car going 60 miles an hour down a highway on my iphone. I've never been able to do that for any track and field event. They promoted a link to a mobile stream and it worked.
With the race not being on TV, the NYRR elected to spend who knows how much cash hiring professional talent (Toni Reavis is one of our favorites) to make a professional stream for hard core fans. Our sport needs as many fans as it can get. TV is essential to this, but for non-tv events we need to spread the word and reach as large an audience as possible for our major events.
Thus when the NYRR approached us about advertising the event on LetsRun.com we came up with a different idea. Just about anything these days can be streamed on livestream.com for free (the streaming is free if you allow ads) and the NYRR's press release said the event would be on livestream. Many races and websites use this service. However, in the past many races have kept it quiet that the races are on livestream and that just about any websites can embed the stream. So we told them, if they wanted as large an audience as possible to get the word out the stream could be embedded. We told them we'd embed it on letsrun for free and try and get the word out to have other running websites embed it.
Sure there are reasons for pay per view events, private streams, and other models, but the sport needs as many fans as possible. We were proud to help promote one of our favorite events.
On my iphone I could hear things great and see who won. It broke up a few times for sure but for events with a mobile camera until 4g and 5g comes around that can be expected.
Wejo, thank you!
Agreed, good work letsrun. It was great to come on here looking for a link to some jerky, ad-ridden stream and have the pure goods right there on the front page.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
