Does anyone have Ritzenheim's splits?
He sucked, no need for splits.

Who was worse, Ryan Hall in Philly on a flat course or Ritz on a downhill course?

This race should set up Ritz to run another marathon in the low two-teens and miss the elusive 2:10 barrier once again.

Well he's running New York, so 2:10 there isn't like 2:10 in Berlin / London / Chicago.
We'll see though. Maybe Geb will run a 2:06 and prove us wrong.
Will Letsrun still say the near 40 year old Geb is ducking people. He is still light years of America's best in ther prime.
I don't know why they are rushing him into running another marathon. He doesn't need to run another 2:11-2:13. It's not like it's the Olympics or even the trials.
I would say that Geb is definitely not a favorite on this website. For a 37 year old to string 3-4 of those 4:2X miles together in the middle of this half-marathon,totally obliterate the "matchups".... it's the f!@#%$ most amazing thing i have seen this year yet!! Chris Chataway..performance of the week??WTF
Geb is the gold standard still NOW at 37. The young Americans are coming on with leaps and bounds but still havent reached Geb's "old man" standard yet!I can hear the groans already...
This is not including ..I mean ...Lets not lose sight of his 25-30 whatever world records and his peak form when he could close a champ. 10km in 12:58.
The reason I bring this up is that he was seemingly dissed on this site so unfairly before as a metronome past his prime...and now the under - coverage of his scintilating condition shows that some guys should own up that...
A) They were wrong about him being over the hill
B) Stop sitting on the fence about what you believe Geb has in store for 2012 ...(I believe many are worried but would prefer/be relieved for him to be over the hill at this point )
