Yes, it should be legal. People should be able to do what they want with their own bodies.
I don't think it should be legal as people will soon start to smoke it too much and will probably end up OD'ng on the stuff. We need to keep our country away from drugs, as well as arabs and pornography.
Marjuana should stay ILLEGAL. My best friend from High School got AIDS by sharing Marijuana needles. He recently died. RIP Mark.

I think it should be legalized, and only grown by the states themselves. If a state had all that extra ganja money flowing in, there would be no budget shortages, I can guarantee you that.
Also, it would curb a lot of the violence south of the border. Those marijuana pipelines are worth billions right now.
It should be legal. No matter what anyone does people are going to get it and smoke it. This fact is irrefutable. It's here to stay and unstopable. And it's something people enjoy and it's far less harmful than alchohol and many perscription drugs. It would reduce crime. It would bring jobs, $$$ for the economy and the tax benefits would cut both our debt and deficit significantly. What else does anyone need to know. It's a win all around.
It should be illegal. Along with clean energy and renewable materials. Those who complain are mentally unstable, get them on psychotropic meds.

Pot should be illegal, it's a gateway drug. I got hooked on joints, and soon found myself shooting vodka and coffee. Now my veins have all collapsed and I spend my days snorting chantix and worrying about constipation.

I\\\'d say the same thing about alcohol if there was any practical way of banning it. Spend some time around some alcoholics and look at all of the people in their lives they have hurt and it\\\'s hard to see how any benefits of alcohol outweigh the harms.
People are just weak and stupid and they don\\\'t need any chemical help to get weaker and stupider.
It should be decriminalized. A ticket for possession would be just like a traffic citation. Pay the fine and you're good.

We need government to tell us what to do with our bodies. Without government, we wouldn't know what foods and drugs are safe or the guidelines for a healthy diet. We have government agencies like the FDA, USDA, and HHS to thank for keeping us healthy.

Stupider? Really? Regardless, occasional use doesn't make one any more or less intelligent than he/she already is. Also, there are many functional alcoholics who have never harmed anyone in their lives.
