Who would YOU like to see as the CEO of USATF ?

Seems to me Bruce Jenner needs to get out of the house.

It's got to be The Penguin. No other choice is worth discussing.

I'm thinking a dead CEO will get along better with the board than a living one and will probably settle for a bit lower salary. So I've got to go with Pre.

I like your line of thought and would also add someone from Nike in the category of 'only people ... to run an operation like that'. Maybe some rising jr VP in the company would be interested. I doubt any sr Nike personnel would be willing to take the job.

I would think Sundlun is about as crooked and dirty as Hightower. Hightower herself will probably push for Brooks. We're doomed as long as we have the current set-up with the current board. There is an awful lot of dead weight on that board. USATF has always been about smoke and mirrors and the philosophy continues to this day.

Just let Hightower do it. This can only go one of two ways, both good. 1: She's the same person she's been in her tenure at USATF, only in a much more public position. This will get her and her cohort run out of town once and for all. 2: She actually does a good job.

This seems like the decent option. No one who seems to be a good candidate for the job is going to take this job because the way it is set up. If Hightower takes it, it will be her neck on the line, which for those her want her neck on the line will finally get it. And she might do a decent job.

Not the same Mike Conley. Plus, the athlete/manager Conley has a return phone call issue incapability that Logan had.

To whomever mentioned David Stern, there are three issues. The first is that his salary under USATF would likely be less than 10% of his current NBA salary. Secondly, bringing in a CEO who had shown success with another sports league is exactly what they did with Logan and he didn't even last two years. Thirdly, I'd take Tagliabue over Stern any day if we're tossing up unrealistic names.
