Mr Boyer, You need to retract your slanderous statement. Racheal is in possession of her medals. Shame on you!
You could have call us like the Vidette
to get a proper story. Why don't you train with her for a week and then
defamate her character. Her coach from the U. Of Iowa said he would welcome any questions regarding Racheal. We are trying to navigate through a black whole where athletes have no rights.WE then have ignorant reporters such as yourself who reports a loosely interptarticle Spanish to English article. Maybe you should get the facts before you discredit yourself and look like a bigger jerk! Debra"
I know the family and this is no surprise. Her parents are very into her running, probably more so than her. I wouldn't be surprised if they encouraged her to do this.
Maybe Cramer dropped the icecream in her sample. If it smells look like shit, smells like shit, and taste like shit... its probably shit.. I hope they throw the book at her.

I think that the race was probably run under Caribbean conditions and in a championship setting where, with the warm weather no one is going to want to go out hard from the beginning.
She is not from the Caribbean. She is a US citizen by Birth and she grew up in the US. Her father is from Puerto-Rico, and she decided to run for Puerto Rico because it would be easier to make their team than to make the USA team. And please dont forget Puerto Rico is a US territory
So whatever happened with this??? Guilty as charged??
What did he do before?
Dec meeting cancelled by atheletes. Next meeting Feb 14th.
Defense will claim the sample whereabouts was unkwown for 10 hours.
If all fails, sample B will get tested in Montreal for EPO and to match the athlete's DNA.

A Caribbean runner doping? That'd be a first.
Not a first, but a surprise certainly since most drug cheats are US citizens.
anything new on this topic?
Does this mean she is not allowed to race? Looked up results and seems to be racing every month. Just local races and that is ok, right? The only runners she is hurting are the women that get second place. Local races don't matter anyway.

"The executive committee of the Athletics Federation of Puerto Rico (FAPUR) recommended that the restaurant owner Rachel Marchand is suspended for two years because of its positive doping tests at the XXI Central American and Caribbean Games Mayagüez 2010."
Good. It's about time that one of those restaurant owners got caught.
uh, yeah, she is NOT allowed to race, under ANY circumstances. two years on the bench folks, that's what a BAN means. yeah, local races don't matter- just ask the girls who have apparently been losing money to a proven EPO cheat!
I thought there was a WADA or IAAF rule where anyone who races against a banned athlete can also be banned.
Have other distance runners been known to run local races after testing positive? You would think the runner would be embarrassed.
I recruited this young lady and to say I am not surprized would be an understatement. Her mother was an absolute nutjob and one discussion was all I need to say no dice to this.
