Clearly you weren't around this board and its predecessor, tnfmedia, when ASC runners would make posts with their names attached crowing about how they didn't need foreign ringers like WSC did, that they won with just American kids. Of course, those same ASC runners haven't been heard from in over five years now. It was always amusing to see D2 runners, esp. those who were older than the typical college athlete and took prize money from road races and then somehow became eligible, acting smug at all.

Going back some years now they had some English and Irish runners and then going even further back to the Vigil days they had a lot of Mexican and American-Mexican runners, you do realise they are foreign right?
If other schools are going to recruit foreigners then if you want to be successfull you better get a few yourself. Look at Ok State. Or you could be a CU and bang on about how you only have Americans... and then finish 15th at nationals.
