They are gingers. They have no soul. Therefore, they feel no pain. This is how they run fast.

I am an identical triplet! Things can get really confusing at my house. We tried going out running once together but couldn't decide which direction to go in, so we ended up at the local track where we did some laps while a football game was going on. These big dumb jocks on the infield kept calling out at us saying really crude things like, "Hey, wanna do a threesome?" So my sister takes this rock see and throws it at his head. It bounced really hard off his helmet and then onto another player. The whole team then started chasing after us. Luckily there was a bus nearby just pulling away from the curb and we got on but my sister Stacy didn't make it and almost got grabbed by one of the players. She gave him a good kick in the business and then hopped into car car that pulled over to help. We later all met up at Micky-dee's for a shake!
anyone remember Frick and Frack?
Seems like they are most comparable to the Hauser twins.
Or the Jeffersons?
I don't understand why any self-respecting distance runner would choose G'town. It seems to be a place where most runners go to stagnate or DNF. Bumby was an exception, but as I understand it that's mostly to his credit, not the program's. It's a great school, to be sure, and a free G'town education is nothing to sneeze at, but one might be wise to look at G'town's results if the running is important.

Exactly. And I think both sets of twins are Hispanic as well.
A good xc race to watch with the Rosa twins. I wanna run cross country again
I got an e-mail from both of them today and it's down to Washington or going pro under the guidance of Marshall Burt.
We just got off the phone and they're going to New Mexico University.

Going pro is a laughable idea, they haven't done sh** yet, 3rd in a weak NXN field, and NJ fans overhype them based on beating crap local course records (as if those mattered). Get real.

Dude, look up Marshall Burt.
Laughable to you, Mr. Schmoe, as you will remain. Obviously you have no idea what is possible when training with an ELITE TRAINING GROUP.

I just took tweet from them and Prarie View University (home of Mr. T) is where they are going!!!
haha Holmdel is a crappy "local" course?

Yeah, just like the CA state champ course that German set a record on, and only got 3rd at Footlocker, which is still much better than 3rd in the weak NXN of 2009. Holmdel race worth a 13:30 5k time my butt, the NXN results show how that that course isn't anything special.

I don't know if they were ever in 13:30 shape, but they ran much faster at Holmdel than many NCAA all-Americans and some Olympcians did on that course when they were in H.S. In fact, one former NCAA all-American at that race said thay weren't sure how much faster they could have run in that race while in college. (Btw, that statement was made by an individual most of us on this board would know.)
A few things:
The NXN race was not weak, the last 2 years it has been as strong as FLN. I am not sure how anyone can say that when last year's NXN race had 3 of the top 5 XC runners. Which is a shame that the best kids are split between to meets.
The Rosas were beyond their peak fitness by the time NXN came around...they had run a lot of tough races on tough cources. Keep in mind that NJ had about half dozen kids with 2-mile PRs around 9 minutes. In the NE and NJ in particular, you don't get a lot of easy races.
A very basic analysis will tell you that at some point during last year's XC season, they were in at least sub-14 5K shape. But, we will never know for sure what they can run in a track 5K because they are only in 5K shape during the XC season; when the track season starts their training is more MD oriented. They run a lot relays during the track season.

That ^ is for sure. Anyone who doesn't know that sub 15 at Holmdel means clearly below 14 on the track has never run Holmdel.
Rumor coming out of NJ is that the Rosa's may not even be the best in their own state this fall. The Ethiopian sophomore transfer may be more than they can handle.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, because the top guy at nx only managed 4th place at FLN.
Oh I guess that's cause he peaked a week early.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
Ryan Eiler, 3rd American man at Boston, almost out of nowhere
