rosas twins

I've coach a couple sets of twins and quite often the twin with the most speed ends up being the better runner at the next level.

All true except for the fact that they did not run FLNE last year.

the Rosas have been coached extraordinarily well by Brian Gould

since they were precocious freshman, he always had an eye both on racing fast now but also on the future

Offhand, I can't think of twins so evenly matched & at such a high level -- can anyone else?

Because of how they have favored nike meets, I predict oregon. Oregon is a great, stable program and plugging a top runner in there these days if very safe. Then again, vin uses the daniels method....Lol just kiddin

Just look to last year: Kathleen and Joanna Stevens, top runners in the country who lead their team to a solid finish

I spoke with both of them last week and theyre deciding between UVA and Stanford.

I talked to both of them earlier today. They are down to deciding between Georgetown and Oregon.

The one and only clinic I ever saw Vin at, he did use the Jack Daniels method. He held up his book and said "I get all my workouts from this book". Then he showed us the "actual" (I really didn't buy it) workouts they did, that is when Ryan Hall went there.

Their coach said they were interested in steeplechase and had planned for a visit to Ohio State and Arizona State and liked having chance to train under Quintana and Gary. Not sure if ASU is academically good enough, Ohio State has improved a great deal, but certainly behind UVA and Stanford.

I hope they don't choose Oregon of Stanford just because the individualized coaching they're in need of.

I have to admit I don't know either the Lemon or the Miller twins, but I don't think the Torres brothers were as good nationally as the rosas.

I wonder if the Rosas ever considered Colorado? The Torres brothers did and did very well. And, the program is highly respected in taking very good runners to the next level. Boulder is a great place to run, besides.

J and E Torres may have been slightly slower on the track but Jorge in particular had a better (up to this point) XC career. Both Rosa's suffer a bit in comparision due to the fractured nature of HS national competition these days - but Jorge qualified 4 times and won once in FL and I think Ed qualified 3 times. As a comparision it holds up pretty well. Hopefully they go on to have as good a career as the Torres have had - but that's a lot to ask.

Anyone else think thier coaches guesstimat of a mid 13 5k to be total crap given they can\'t run that pace for 2 miles. They are great. No need to exagarrate
