I'm surprised no one has mentioned Andy Powell or Franklin Sanchez, two of the Massachusetts high school phenom's of the 90's.
Andy Powell
800 - 1:51
Mile - 4:02
2 Mile - 8:49 (Indoor vs Sanchez)
5k XC - 14:52 (Franklin Park in Boston)
Franklyn Sanchez
800 - 1:55
Mile - 4:08
2 Mile - 8:47 (Indoor vs Powell)
5k - couldn't find any results but at the State XC meet in 1998 Sanchez ran 14:01 to Powell's 14:00 on a 2.9 mile course
* Sanchez also set the US JR record in the 5k in 2000, running 13:38.39
Here's that 8:47/8:49 race indoors

I don't think you remembered, right. Brannen is from Ontario - they run the 1500 and 3000 in High School. I highly doubt that he ran a 3200 when he was in Grade 12. -

Why have so many people posted people who DIDN'T do what the OP is asking? Sub 1:50, sub 9:00.
I love how after your post there are like 4 more posts of people who still didn't do it. -

He was in the race where Webb ran 8:45 indoors. I forget what Brannen's time was though. -

The Foot Locker/Kinney XC finalists who also broke 1:50 for 800m
1:46.58 George Kersh
1:47.74 Alan Webb
1:48.8 Paul Vandegrift
1:49.61 Sharif Karie -

Oooh, I forgot about Sharif Karie. He was about 4:02 or so for the mile right? Any 3200/2mile times?
So far we have Webb for sure, and that's it, though it looks like Spivey gets in with converted times.
Brannen's a maybe, and Sage is a maybe, we just need verified times.
I really wish people would stop listing every guy they know of who ran under 9 and under 1:55. I mean, anybody who can run under 9 can run under 1:55. Ritz used to do it while tripling in dual meets. And I know I'm a hypocrite, since I listed Pifer. And I just checked, he didn't do it. -

Bingo. It was billed as a clash of the titans thing where Brannen flew down to NIN or something like that and they were going to go after Lindgren's indoor record. Webb crushed Brannen and went on to run 8:45. Brannen hung with him for 2000-2400 meters or so and then was broken. I think he was under 9, but not sure. It was likely his only attempt at 3200/2mile, though I'm sure he might have a comparably quick 3000 time. -
The very short list of sub 9:00 for 3200m and 1:50 for 800m (including converted yards):
Jim Spivey
1:49.64c (1:50.28y)
8:57.17c (9:00.3y)
Alan Webb
1:47.74
8:42.15c (8:45.19yi)
The only high schools with sub 1:50m, 4:10m & 9:00m
3 or more different boys:
Jesuit HS, Carmichael, CA
El Modena HS, Orange, CA
Burbank HS, Burbank, CA
Atlantic HS, Delray Beach, FL
Thornridge HS, Dolton, IL
Lincoln-Way HS, New Lenox, IL
Wichita East HS, Wichita, KS
Only 2 boys:
Cabrillo HS, Lompoc, CA
Mission San Jose HS, Fremont, CA
Merced HS, Merced, CA
Suffern HS, Suffern, NY
South Lakes HS, Reston, VA
Only 1 boy:
Fenton HS, Bensenville, IL -
Sharif Karie could've done it. I think his 1:49 and 4:02 (at the h.s. nationals, beating Jennings and Riley) should count for it. If I recall, Karie never even took a shot at a fast 3200, but he could've gone sub 9:00 without breaking a sweat.
Speaking of the mid 90s VA era, Lassiter might have done the deed. Not sure if he ever ran a fast 3200, but he broke 1:50 at the state meet, and almost certainly could've dropped sub 9.
This was back in the day when there really weren't that many fast 3200 races. -
Not sure what Louie Quintana's PR's were, but he ran sub 1:50 and won Footlocker (Kinney) in 1990, so I figure he was good for sub 9:00. Can't find results where he actually did it though.

When did Rosa go 1:50?
-
If you count relay splits then Lukezic actually did it as well. When Auburn broke the national record in the 4x8 his senior year Lukezic split a 1:49 on the third leg. The year before he ran 8:57 for 3200.

This is interesting. I could only think of Alan Webb without research, but I actually want to know which high school runners have done AT LEAST 2 out of the following: Sub 15:00 5k, Sub 4:10 1600m, sub 9:00 3200m and sub 1:51 (I'll take a 1:50).
It would be more interesting to find how many hs runners have gone sub 1:50 AND sub 15:00. I bet there's less than 20 ALL-TIME
To the posters complaining that people aren't supplying what the OP asked for, I have quoted his request for you. Read it again. If you still think you are right and the other posters are wrong, go back and reread what he wants. It's a melange. He wants runners with range. He's gotten that. He didn't realize just how fast sub 1:50 was in high school and thought he'd get a group, not just one or two, so we've given him a group. Stop being so formalistic.
This is an interesting exercise and reminded me just how fast Jim Spivey was. -
As has been said...the 4:10/9:00/15:00 is easy. The OP even changed the 800m requirement IN HIS POST.
I'm sticking with the original title.
Sub 9:00 and sub 1:50. That combo is MUCH HARDER as has been proven in this thread. Would, shoulda, coulda and relays don't matter. -
From scratch, only two guys have done it that I know of, I cannot believe there are over 20 posts talking about guys that did not do it, or folks trying to use relay splits.
Webb and Brannen are the only guys.
Brannen went 8:59 or 50's high in Webb's 8:45 race on flat Md. Indoor track.
Liquori ran 1:49.x split at Penn and only ran 1-2 serious two miles and ran 9:04 for full two miles.
Rich Kimball probably could have done it as well, if we are going to the woulda coulda list. -

I wonder what girl had the best 800 and 3200/2M combo. Sarah Bowman? Wasn't she 2:04 / 10:16?
Of course Kim Gallagher did 2:00 and 9:19 3k ... and even 16:34 5k on the track. Guess that's by far the best combo ever.
Liz Mueller did 2:05 and was '91 Kinney national champ. Not sure if she ever ran a 3200m. -

Except Brannen is Canadian. If we're opening it up to the entire world that changes things. I thought we were talking Americans. -

US girls that have gone sub 2:10m and 10:30m:
Alejandra Barrientos
Ari Lambie
Brianna Felnagle
Chelsey Sveinsson (2:08.46, 10:04.85y)
Cheri Williams
Cory Schubert
Emily Infeld
Emily Lipari
Erin Donohue
Jodie Bilotta
Jordan Hasay (2:09.64, 9:52.13)
Katelyn Kaltenbach
Kim Gallagher (2:00.07, 10:27.5y)
Maddie Meyers
Sarah Bowman (2:04.94, 10:16.03)
Suzy Favor -
American was never a requirement. Might as well open it up to HS runners that fall into the general pool of commonly known athletes (not like there are a ton of guys who fall into this group anyway).

Seems like Ryun ran 9:02
This would have been sub-9 for 3200 then, as Ryun would have raced 2 miles.
