Those that have never mounted a "comeback", won't understand that nothing feels the same-- the warm-up, the sound of the gun, the feeling that others are there to defeat versus support, the frustration of the pace one used to master, and finally --- that "real world" feeling and acceptance of humility. The latter requires both character and diligence to persevere. Success for Alan Webb isn't a Gold Medal...it's sharing a lane on the track at a world-class event. Godspeed Alan...for giving it another go versus retiring!!
