The men's steeple had a great field. 2 Olympic champs and Paul Koech.
Koech the fastest in the world this year got the best of the 2 Olympic champs (Brimin Kipruto and Ezekiel Kemboi).
Slow early pace with Ben Bruce in the lead.
Then when the running got going it was 3 name stars up front with Koech leading.
Kipruto struggled over the water with 1.5 laps to go.
Koeach still led at the bell but all 3 still together. Kipruto came up on his shoulder with 200 to go but Koech attacked the last water barrier and opened up a gap. He pulled away to win, Kipruto faded to 3rd and Kemboi got 2nd.
8:17 for the winner
Women's 1500m on.
No rabbit. Very slow early pace. 72.37
please post Women's 1500 results
2:19.56 (67 for that lap) With 800 to go they were already at 2:04
Steph Twell still leading
Alminova and Langat 1-2 at Bell (3:07?) 3:22 at 1200
Rowbury and Donohue there.
Langat crushed everyone the last 100, Alminova a clear 2nd, Dobriskey came up for 3rd, Rowbury was in 3rd until about 50 to go but Erin Donohue came up to beat her and finish 4th. Rowbury 5th.
4:07 for Langat.
Much appreciated!
Langat confirms she is the best kicker in the world. Alminova continues her insistence on having the lead at 400. Good runs for Dobriskey (who spent most of the race way wide) and Donohue.

Slattery really should give it up. Why in the world would you want to run 8:44 in a meet like this?
24.2 for KD.
Wheating back in about 6th wide Symmonds behind him
49.24 at 400 Wheating 4th at Bell
Kaki 1st
Wheating 2nd!!
1:16.47 at 600 with wheating up to 2nd behind Kaki.
Down the homestretch Kaki appeared to be laboring.
Wheating stayed about the same distance behind the homestretch closing the gap a bit. Symmonds fell farther back but finished 3rd.
Another good run for Wheating
I think 1:45 for Kaki and Wheating.
Wheating second place. 1:44:xx

1:44.38 for Kaki
1:44.56 PR for Wheating. I misspoke about the 1:45.
Symmonds 1:45.28
Wheating looked good.He was only .18 behind Kaki. The BBC announcer made it sound like an easy win but .18 ins't much.
More aggressive run for Wheating than in the past. Like to see him in a 1:43 race.

Awesome, thanks! Good to see Wheating hasn't lost his form and that Stockholm 800 was just an unfortunate mishap between him and Kaki. 2nd place to the second best guy in the world is not too shabby... (BIG understatement)
