I know nobody wants to hear "let's see where this goes" or "it was his first race back give him a break". But I, like most people saw the result before the race. And the fact is it was his first race back, and he looked like he had no intention of doing anything but running an even race. Should a runner of his calliber be running faster despite the set backs he's endured? Yeh definitely. However I have no idea what Salazar had in mind for him. I do seem to remember someone mentioning Salazar saying something in the 1:50 range, but I dont know if theres any truth to that. I will say though, if they put him out there to actually be in the race and compete and not do "easy" splits then yeh Webb is looking like sh*t right now. All Im saying is we don't know all the facts to make irrefutable assertions right now. Yes, I am a big Webb fan, and Im sure Im biased. But like most of you I've been on this site waiting for a 3:28 out of him as well. Who knows. I do know that he looked smooth (yes I know this is easy time trial stuff for him) but from what I could see (maybe not much) he wasn't straining. Maybe thats a good thing, because that was the goal, or maybe that was a horriffically bad thing because he went out there to run hard, and 1:52 is well below him at this point. I know people have been saying let's wait and see with Webb for a while now, and its getting old, but after switching coaches, an achillies injury, and a beat 800 field in sh*tty weather, I'm sorry to say it but....lets keep f*cking waiting and keep f*cking seeing
