Good run - didn't he win the world juniors last year?
there is a 55 year old guy named keith bateman in australia who recently ran a 32.34 road 10km at the NSW champs. Also, ran an 8.57 3km 2 years ago. Not as impressive as 2:15 at 46, but worth a mention.
Already cleared that up above: Steve turns 47 later this year.

Steve Boyd does not have 55 . He have 45 or 46...
I'm 50. I just ran a 2:51.
So I ve only got to cut my time down by 36 minutes.
Let's go!
That is pretty incredible. Who is more impressive, Paul Radcliffe's time or his? Basically, the same time.
and Monaghetti's still capable of running his age (better?)...for 15K! Perhaps not as impressive as the 2:15 @ 46, but not far away...
Mona just ran 30 min and change (again) last month down-under.
Paula, by a good margin. Men "equalize" to open women in the marathon in their early 50's (sprinters in their late 40's)

I heard Peachtree refused him an entry. WTF!!???! Was it US masters only?
He couldn't pay his money and run like 40,000 other people?
interesting. How do you know?
We knew about this because he is the subject of a possible story in the fall. His accomplishents are very impressive and have been at a world level covering 3 decades.
I was in Atlanta and would have been able to interview Mr. Chesang but the organizing committee had no interest in affording any accomodations for this world class athlete as they did with others. As a journalist, I was disappointed. As a runner, I was shocked.

Ummmmmmmmmmm...NEWSFLASH!!!! 2:15 isn't that fast of an 800 time for a 46 year old. I know plenty of men that have done that.
You should change your NIC to Alexander Dumass!
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
