Where was her 50 second quarter speed in this race? 4:07 for DFL.

she does not have 50 second for 400 she probably has high 53-mid 55 for 400 speed, probably a mistake by a writer hired for his/her knowledge of football, basketball, baseball, the writer is probably ignorant of track/running for the most part.
Yeah, Jim Gerweck, the writer, seems like a person who probably knows nothing about track.
If she has 50 second quarter speed she should run the 400m.
Probably better she skips the 400 and runs dead last in the 1500...she wouldnt want to embarass the 400 runners with her lightning quick speed.[quote]fasha wrote:

I dedicated my whole life to running and this is what I get?
Married.
She happy and content now.
aka slower.
Don't worry, Jim. It's Chinatown. No wait, it's not Chinatown. It's LetsRun. Well, about the same thing.
She's on the Manzano plan
Off days happen. 4:07 ain't that bad--it's not like she ran 4:27. Don't worry, she'll be back.
Having one bad race does not mean her season is over. She has had multiple good races already this year. 4:07 is not even a terrible time. Calm down.
she has had many bad days already this season
If you don't know what it means to have an off day, you must not be a runner. I felt really sluggist on my run yesterday; I don't why, but it happens sometimes...pros are no different.
In terms of having 50 point 400m speed, she keeps getting credit for this statement, but I am not sure Anna actually ever said that. Anna could probably run 54x, which is less than average for a world class 800m runner.

Will you clarify if she can run a 400 in 50 seconds. She is one of the best runners in the United States, but it just doesn't make sense that she has that kind of speed in the 400. If she does, she should be running 400s and 800s and nothing else.

If she could run 50 point, she probably wouldn't even run the 800, most world class 400m race are won in 50x.
I actually thought compared to the others she looked like she was carrying a bit of weight. Therefore not training as hard as last year.
Coaching
She put a good deal of beer in me during the winter.
