One of them is definitely a Kenyan
If that is Sage Canaday (from the numbers), then this makes a classless comment even worse. Rojo, if this is someone you coached, surely you can't condone this on your board?

It was a mildly funny troll. More amusing is that 2:16 wouldn't get you into the first several rows of that picture.

Those are not even close to Sage Canaday's times.
Plus it was a blatant troll. You must be a counter-troll.
If you newbies haven't run Falmouth, make sure you run it on your bucket list.
I ran it as recently as 2004, and if you took that same picture from the 1978 Falmouth, it would be just as impressive, except there are even more elite level Africans up front.
I lined up next to the likes of Khalid Khannouchi and Ryan Shay, but you could've run a solid pace (sub-5:00) at the race and still been in the 20+ posisitions.

I remember paying $5 to run Peachtree in 1977...that included the late fee...38:44 my first time..368th place...
This guy, who was almost 4 minutes back in 2004, ran 8:52(?) school record steeple in D3 at Williams and later ran 2:20:11 at Boston:
445 Marzuki Stevens 30 M Somerville MA 00:34:46 30 27 30
But there's no doubt that just about everyone who ran back in the late 70s ran hard and high mileage and there was a lot more high quality depth in road races among Americans at that time.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
