Go back to RIMROCK!!!
Go back to RIMROCK!!!
Even horrible weather in Arkansas during November is upper 20s while it is very possible to get 50 something for the high.

And, we have a winner...
Rimrock is a great course.
I am liking the U of A idea. I ran there many times. I would like to see the course a bit tougher but it works. Also the weather can be bad but it doesn't have to be. Also it being at one of all time cross schools makes it more meaningful.
Bring NCs back to Lehigh!
The course is almost 100% grass, weaving around farmland in the bosom of the Saucon Valley. Lehigh did an admirable job hosting in the past and it would be a good kick in the pants for the sport to have the chanmionships in the northeast / midatlantic region. You know close to where people actually live and will actually come out to watch.
The course may not have the history of VCP, but it is more spectator friendly.
That was true. However, word is that they have changed the route beginning with this year's Furman Invitational and eliminated the pavement. The new configuration is set up with multiple loops and very spectator friendly, according to the FU distance coach.
Where will Oregon host it, at the lame golf course layout in Methville (Springfield)?
The Furman cross country course is certainly not 50% cart path. While it is true that cart paths run along the edges of some parts of the course, the race could easily be staged to where runners would only have to take about four total steps on pavement. Its a great course, very challenging but not overly slow, and offers sure footing.
lol. i wonder how many people have ever even been to springfield. just because someone on an internet website says something, doesn't mean it's necessarily true. you'll find more meth heads in parts of tuscon and the inland empire in CA than in springfield. the most white trash that side of the miss. though.
Iowa State needs another crack at it. The weather wasn't good, but it was a fluke. It's a true XC course
Why are we so concerned about the weather again? Last few years in Indiana has been just about perfect XC weather. Even if its a little colder whats the big deal? Aren't those kind of conditions at the heart of the sport?
Oregon plans to host it in Portland on the NXN course.
That's funny. Portland Meadows is being sold and will be turned into a warehouse storage facility. NXN has been a major flop and is moving to Dallas or Orlando.
Holmdel Park NJ... just kidding... well kind of just kidding
IU course!!!!!!!!!!

Just what I was going to post. Bloomington for sure. The course is at least 10x better than ISU.
rim rock, van cortlandt, franklin park.
rotate that - there will be enormous crowds and nobody gets out without a scar or two.
the laverne course is sad and pathetic, if i want to run along a fenceline for 10 kilometers, i'll pop a cap on pimp and do ten years running the fence. . .
Thats funny. Must be an IU runner or IU grad. Cant come to the fact that ISU is better at something.
The NXN course NO WAY. Coaches will go nuts if the Nats will be there
ISU = YES
IU = Maybe
Portland = NO WAY
No connection to either school but have run on both courses many times. I don't know a single person who has competed on both courses and prefers ISU.
