Disregard those women's placings, they're not right.
Correction, they are right, different distances.

I read that, too, but I confess that I don't take VO2 max figures very seriously, either as accurate assessments of aerobic metabolic capacity or as useful indicators of competitive results. Perhaps they're more meaningful in ultramarathoning than they are in shorter competitions, although I would have guessed otherwise.
TWitter updates
Kilian and Krupicka just arrived together at Mile 78.

Especially when they're made up stats from egotistical ultra-distance runners.
What's the closest ever finish at WS100?
I think we might see a sub-15 hour finish!
Live Blog: Anton opens a 2 min lead as Jornet sits to eat! USA! USA!
Another tweet said Jornet looked a little dazed at 80.
A small break and some food might make a big difference around 90 though if they're still close.
Krupicka is only 26? I thought he was like 40.
czealand WS100 update: anton, kiian, geof roes 8min apart at 80miles. A 3-man race!

He had a pretty poor career in college b/c of injuries. Doing 200 mile weeks with too much speed.
After college he jumped right into the mountain running/ultra scene, making him young compared to most of the guys that were winning races at the time.
According to his blogs he does a lot of slow distance mountain running now (150-180 miles/week).
