Didn't Hasay DNF at Mt. SAC one year?
Didn't Hasay DNF at Mt. SAC one year?
Emily Beat Jordan at Footlocker two yrs ago
No she DNF'd at the Stanford XC Invite.
Great race by both, Hasay coming back in the 1500 tomorrow.
Both are class acts, post race interviews:
Also Aisling Cuffe who took 3rd and is only a junior! I like her spirit, she might be doubling up in the 5k and has her eyes set on Nicole Blood's NY record:
seeing as Goethal's NBN 2 mile is worth a 9:16 or so
uhhh try--- 9:20
Cuffe ran really well. Those other two knew they were good, so they just sat. Credit to Cuffe for leading the race and still holding on to a strong 3rd.
that's questionable because sisson ran a 9:50 3200meter time trial a few weeks ago basically just to prove to herself that she could. And she opted out of all high school outdoor track meets so she could run in bigger meets
that's questionable because sisson ran a 9:50 3200meter time trial a few weeks ago basically just to prove to herself that she could. neither goethals nor sveinsson have ran sub-10 in the event
Did you guys look at the FAT results from NBN's? They had an FAT set up for 3k during the 2 mile and they split 9:26 and that is FAT so 10:01 is worth 9:26, you want to know why? Because that is what she ran! and they split 5:03 for their 10:01 so she neg split with a 4:58. Today they split 7 seconds slower and ran 8 seconds faster, I really don't think Goethals could have won today in my opinion. It was a completely different race and Sisson right now is far better and healthier
...And a GREAT race by the underrated Cuffe. She just set a NY junior record last week with her 9:26 split and NBN...and now a 6 second PR *and* she took down Molly Huddle's NY State record to boot.
Well, to be fair, Goethals' last lap was like a 64 or 65, and Cuffe was like 66 at NBN. If you took out their slowest 200, which was around a 37-38, it's equal to a 9:20-9:21 (Goethals ran 9:58 for 3200)
Or maybe you could look at the FAT splits and she ran a 66.26 for her last lap and Cuffe was 67.27 so with it being 440 yrds that puts her at 66.00 and Cuffe at 67.00

I think Hasay eased up at the line, just like Acosta.
Post of the day for me. That was pretty funny. Thank you.
Sisson is 19.
It was pretty clear Hasay was trying to save energy so she could run in the 1500 Seniors later in the day.
Sisson went out hard so Hasay got on the Juniors World Team in the 3000 and scratched out of the 1500. Now she will just run in the Juniors 1500, and we'll have to wait until world Juniors championships to see a new PR.
Emily Sisson is younger than Jordan Hasay by 3 weeks. Emily was born 10-12-91 and Jordan 9-21-91.
soo true;if you look @ncaa xc results year after year former foot locker studs are way back

Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?

Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
