How fast do you think he could run an 800?
Coach D must stand for dunce. Mennea was a known druggie and a cheat who would run inside the lane whenever he could.
Notice the LACK of other white men in the 200m ranks. Not a conicidence....
Looks like a pizza delivery guy that jumped into a race, period.

Anyone ever notice that whites and blacks ran closer times until the 1980s. Hmmm track became professional in the 1980s and steriods became widely available to world community. Who do we think really abused the peds
I think one thing people need to remember, is that not all drugs are to make you big. Some are just to help you recover quicker in your training and after your training, or to help you train longer. Not to mention, his legs look no different than most drug cheating sprinters. The fact that he doesn't have big arm muscles isn't neccesarily relevant.
Not saying he's on drugs, just saying it's ridiculous to judge if someone is cheating by the size of their muscles, especially their arms.
whoa, now that's bad form for a sprinter. At least that still shot looks that way.
Well, "we" are getting close, I guess.
But it just chaps my ass that it will likely be a f-ing Frenchman that does it. Shit.
The Australian record prior to Johnson was 10.03. This run by Matt Shirvington, who was white in any sense of the word, when finishing 4th at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. Shirvington was a month or two short of his 20th birthday.
He's going to break 10! Video of his 10.02
That was with +1.1. With +1.9, he would have it now. If he gets to Rieti in peak shape, he should be sub-10.
chambers was classy after that race. nevertheless, how do you forget the doping offense? that musculature didn't come clean.

Lemaitre beating Bolt (or Gay or Powell) is as likely as a Shanequa winning the nobel prize in physics.
Michael Faraday, It seems that most of your posts are insulting to Blacks. We can see your "Shanequa" reference was a slick way to put Blacks down. Could it be that you are one of those inbred, redneck, trailer park bigots?
Why do people care if he's white?
Is it because white people perceive a barrier for themselves, because no white guy has ever been clocked legal sub-10?
If so, what a bunch of crap! Whites stereotyping whites. Just because nobody else has done it doesn't mean that YOU can't--somebody has to be first.
Psychologically it seems to be like the B.S. sound-barrier limit in aviation.
As if any white guy concerned about Lemaitre is near 10s. None of you are. I never had a problem with believing I could break 10s--of course I never broke 10.5. I realized that I just wasn't as fast as others.
I can guarantee you that any white 100m men out there who are close to 10.00 don't perceive it as a barrier--they see it as a goal. As does EVERY 100m sprinter who is near 10.00
I'm white, and I don't care if he's white--just like I didn't care that Connaughton, Shirvington, Macrozonaris, Osovnikar, Wells, Williams, Pickering were/are white, or that Lewis, Greene, Johnson, Marsh, Owens, Adeniken, Fredricks, Imoh were/are black.
Whatever.
And as far as blacks only being faster in the 100m because of drugs, that is a bunch of crap too.
I was really fast regionally at 100m, until I went into multis. In pretty much every race I ever ran as a kid, up until college, in the final, it was me and MAYBE one other white guy, lined up against black guys. It WASN'T because there weren't other white guys competing--they got washed out in the heats.
And none of those black guys I ran against were on drugs when we were kids in school in the '70's and '80's. They were just faster.

While some white dude might be getting close, I assure you that has nothing at all to do w/ me. I am nowhere near 10 secs (or even 11) and I'm probably moving in the wrong direction. What is this "we"?
As I said before Patrick Johnson has run 9.93, legally.
He is not "black" by the interpretation used by the OP.
His skin colour is dark, not sure how that would actually affect his speed. His racial background is part European and part Indigenous Australian!!
