I love how you come on letsrun to stroke your technological 4 incher.
C'mon man. There is a place and a time for this kind of stuff (experts-exchange.com, stackoverflow.com, etc.)...
Just because you know some lingo and can pump out a few google searches doesn't mean you are an expert. Polevaultpower, on the other hand, is.
i don't know of any forum which is 100% transparent. do u ? pvp is for pv only. nice. but limited.

did runnerspace tell you that? I heard Ross M from runnerspace tried to cash in on the dyestat track talk fizzle and f***ed it up. He wanted the admins at tracktalk to send all their members over to runnerspace for like 50 bucks or something. what a cheapskate.
Why would you want no ads? Websites cost money to run, you know.

Wait, what?
I know how to keep my message board clean and friendly. Probably an easier job when you are only dealing with pole vaulters. I'm not a tech person.

I went years without having ads on my site. Your average small site really doesn't cost that much cash to run on a monthly basis, it's the time that kills you.
"RunnerSpace gives TrackTalk.tk an offer" ???
Are you guys for real? Will Ross have the tracktalk.tk guys move on to the couch with him or what?
Guys...get a real job.
i'd take you all to school
Why would you want no ads? Websites cost money to run, you know.it costs as much time to collect what little money you make with ads. it's less headache to have no ads and do you site for the love of the sport pro bono, keeping expenses down to $5-$20 month to keep your spouse from getting upset. with ads you also have additional headaches of advertisers making suggestions and trying to tell you what to do. servers and such are so dirt cheap nowadays you can gather a bunch of friends who are retirees and rich guys and do a board for free. self managed linux vps servers are only $2/mo.

Maybe you should start your own forum genius.
As for dystat I'm glad its gone. All there is left is to take down runnersworld aka joggersworld.
it looks as if runnerspace is using the demise of dyestat to expand their own propreitary interests.
Just a thought. No bigee. Maybe I can help.
Is this the vBB $195 that you are talking about ?
I have spare Linux Servers, IP addresses, disk space that I use for my R&D business that I can let people use for free for the next generation of blipity blip.
But if I let you use it for free, then no ads, no proprietary stuff, and no non-running non-TF political agendas.
I will be at USA Nats next week in Des Moines 6/23-6/27. I can meet at the Marriott or at Drake Stadium.
I cannot believe how many people are upset with the closing of messageboards at dyestat. People seem to forget the real intent of the site is/was to provide a place to find results and meet coverage - to hell with the messageboards.
Go to dyestat now and try to find the results/meet coverage of a major event in the last 2 weeks- my bet is that you can't.
That is the crime in all this change not a chance in stupid messageboards, but the lose of coverage and fast posting of results
That's why we need forums, to post results when we get them or find the link. Also people like to converse with others. It's natural to want to interact with fellow members of your species.
Flotrack opened it`s new message boards a couple of days ago.
Lot of fighting going on for 126 skinny HS kids and their 28,512 multis
Seen it. FT, LR, TFN, RS all have the same censored proprietary agenda type board. Why not just stay on LR then.
We can toss around ideas at Drake Stadium after the Jrs finish up at 6:45PM or back at the Marriott if you are staying downtown.
Any interest ?
