Okay. That makes more sense.

800 is currently slated for 7:20pm but may change. I believe the 1500m will be tacked on at the end (so sometime around 9-9:15pm). This has yet to be determined for sure, though.
Thank you. Please update if you hear anything different.
maybe someone should give sowinski a heads up about the meet
So, I am not a track athlete these days, however, an advocate as well as a fan. I know someone with a 1:48.00 F.A.T. PR that is willing to race in the 800m Run at this meet but we need to get him a ride from Waukesha, WI to Madison, WI and back.
If someone within the Wisconsin community is willing to do this, email
and specify "Fast 800" in the subject line.
thanks.
I know you are a troll but I'm going to rant anyways, you POS. Considering you have no idea who is on my team, nor the times of which they are capable, I think you should go fck yourself. I have a problem with bastards like you who see "club team" and automatically think we're a bunch of washed up high school athletes jumping on a track and running 11 min 3ks, devoid of any talent whatsoever. We train every day of our own volition, drive ourselves to meets and run competitively against other collegiate athletes. And when I say some of us could be on the Badger squad, I mean it. If it weren't for my major I would be on the team. So before you blast out ignorant statements like you have been, you should know what you're talking about.
I think we should just look at a picture of a smiling dog for awhile: http://wherediditallgorightblog.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/riley.jpg
This article has the times of the races:

You should post some times that people in your club have run within the past year.
Or just tell us your name so we can do a little searching and show your stupid ass that just because you think you could be on the team, you in fact could not be.

You sound like you did not make your collegiate team.
DAMN you got me. My hopes and dreams are crushed now that you, some god-complex toting ignoramus, don't think I could run for a D1 school. I'm a 2:20 800er (http://67.23.19.61/system/files/1661/original/ResultsUWLLC2.htm?1274412312), and a 4:49 1500er (http://www.uwbadgers.com/sports/w-track/stats/2009-2010/05.08_wisconsin_twilight_results.html). Since these are not great times (and I have never claimed to be a great runner), I will first say that I have already consistently beaten girls on the Badgers squad (and you can see how those times compare to current Badgers:
http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/wis/sports/w-track/auto_pdf/cumulative-stats.pdf
). Second, I will say that I coached myself to the times listed above. With real coaching I am fairly certain that I would be capable of a lot better things.
As for the guys on my team, they can explain themselves if they wish. Here's one race of them against the Badgers:

Pat Plank was a sprinter for us for one year, and then joined the Badgers for the past two. The Wisconsin Track Club was initially founded by Wisconsin elite runners who wanted a name to compete under post-collegiately. My club membership rolls have included Olympians and the like. To paraphrase what I drunkenly stated last night, you should know what you're talking about before you blunder into a conversation about a team you know nothing about.
Merry Christmas. Have fun flaming.
Have Sowinski call Hucky and ask him how he's getting there; I'm sure he'll help him out if he can. (Because there are soooo many guys with 1:48.00 PR's from Wisconsin...)
What major stops you from trying out for the team?
On another note, I'm planning on running a much slower 1500 at the same meet, hopefully around 4:10-15; that way I can watch them finish from across the track. It would be pleasing if someone joined me. This should be a fun meet.
McClimon isn't the best track, and weather can be crappy sometimes, but when people do show up to race, the fans usually do a good job to support them. For instance:
Are you referring to the track surface itself or the overall facility? I've always thought the track itself is fine.
I like this video better:
I'm talking specifically about the facility's ability to host a large meet. Otherwise, its great for smaller meets, and the track itself is fine.
That guy did get to you. Must be that time of the month...
No, I just get defensive about things I care a lot about.
Wide variety of marks at this meet, with kids from 5 or 6 up. Last year at the second meet one of the vaulters opened at 4.25m (13'11.25") and made it on first attempt.
Notable was that it was a female - Jenny Soceka was prepping for opening at 4.25 at USATF three days later. She made it there on her first attempt, which was good enough to finish in the top ten at USATF.
I don't want to get into an argument or anything, but all the "wisconsin" 800 runners you ran faster than are heptathaletes and a 400 hurlder. Plus you could easily be on the Badger team, due to Title IX they allow all kinds of women on D1 teams who have no business being there. Example: Minnesota has 50 women on their XC team, and 100 on their track and field roster.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
