I wouldn't like to see him with a bar of soap!
soccer is gay
Every time the World Cup comes around, I try to give soccer a new hearing. Maybe this time I'll get it. What is it that the world sees in this sport, that I don't? Baseball is my bottom layer, but I've built imaginative architectural wings, paid for with sweat equity. Distance running, cross-country skiing, road cycling, tennis. Sports I know cold. As of this morning, the two best athletes on the planet are Robin Soderling and Ivan Basso. That will change, and quickly. But I don't see how they won't remain light years beyond men kicking rubber balls.
So what did we learn about the US from that game?We learned that, unfortunately, the US cannot put together 4 passes in building their offense. It is predicated on individual effort from long balls.Bradley is not very good, surely we must have a better center half than him.Now what did we learn about England? They are not very good either. Goalkeeping blunders aside they are a mess all the way through from the back to the front and will not get past the second round - and that's assuming they get past their next two games - which is not a sure thing by any stretch of the imagination.Weren't you the one who tried to define England as a "juggernaut"?!? Ugh.

So England will end up with 9 points, Algeria will end up with 1, Slovenia will end up with 2, and USA will end up with 4 points.
The US will definitely advance by beating both Algeria and Slovakia. England should have no problem advancing as well.

Don't call Algeria and Slovakia walkovers. Remember Poland in '02.
Maybe the effect of playing in Africa will give Algeria a little push.
hey idiots, it's slovENIA not sloVAKIA...big difference
Could you please clarify this quote for me and then explain how you're still able to cast aspersions given your penchant for the absurd?

Because to me you come across as a delusional juggernaut.
US doesn't care about soccer. We can't even beat England for christ sake.

not really
We should have won!!
Bradley is a holding midfielder, and so is Clark.. This was perfect lineup for England because both Gerrard and Lampard are attacking players. Ashley Cole couldn't attack because he was worried about Dempsey and Donovan. Gooch messed up a lot in his positioning and was the reason why England scored that first goal.
This group is now a toss up for either ENgland or USA to win. It will go down to Goal diff. and I think USA will win the group with a plus 4 goal diff. compared plus 3 for England.
The difference between Slovenia and Slovakia is pretty big.
Slovakia are good and Slovenia are rubbish.

Strange, since Slovenia beat Slovakia, twice, during qualifying.
