USA v ENGLAND

This is What I think will happen in Group C.

EvU: 2-0

AvS: 1-1

SvU: 1-1

EvA: 3-0

SvE: 1-2

UvA: 1-0

So England will end up with 9 points, Algeria will end up with 1, Slovenia will end up with 2, and USA will end up with 4 points.

The point of bringing up Spain was not relevant to the match between USA and England. I brought up matches between England and USA because it added to my point that USA is mentally defeated already. Hope that clarifies.

England will drop points somewhere along the way. If its not the USA, it will be somewhere else. I have it:

England 1 - 2 USA

Algeria 0 - Slovenia

Slovenia 1 - 2 USA

England 2 - 0 Algeria

Slovenia 1 - 2 England

USA 0 - 1 Algeria

England 6 pts (+2 GD)

USA 6 pts (+1 GD)

Algeria 4 pts

Slovenia 1 pt

England wins the group of goal differential.

Doubt England wins all three. They are bound to choke at some point. Its what they do best.

And if they lose?????

Ohhhhhhh, okaaaaay. I thought you were attempting to say that past teams with different players and different coaches reflected current players and coaches, which obviously you were not.

I would think a team that wasn't scared of quality team such as Spain just last year, surely wouldn't be scared of a team with a history of choking and now comes in lame.

I predict English soccer VS the US follows the same pattern as it's athletics/track.

Huh? Juggernaut? Not if judged by, say, results. England is a consistently solid second tier team, nothing more, nothing less. They've only made it past the quarterfinals twice in the history of the World Cup, and once in the history of the Euro Cup. Their all time record is 502-211-168. Good, but not exactly a juggernaut. They're better than the US (probably), but they're not Brazil. Or Spain. Or Germany. Or, historically, Italy. Or even Argentina.

Not sure if you were being sarcastic, but I never once said that England will beat USA solely because they haven't won a match since 1993. Of course there are different players and coaches. If you weren't being sarcastic, disregard this message.

lol spain a juggernaut? they haven't even won a world cup. England has made it into the final tournament 11 times since 1950. Look up some history on Spain and tell me how many times they have qualified (don't count before 1950, as some teams didn't enter). Spain has only had success these past 8 years (and that's being generous).

They've been favourites for so many World Cups and they barely even make it out of the groups.

That said, I've backed them this time and also backed a Spain/Holland final at 22/1.
