take it out fast
take it out fast
I'm going to work so that it's a pure guts race in the end, and if it is, I'm the only one that can win.
haha no in reality what wheating will do is hang near the back till 200, then move up to the front over the bend, and drop the hammer over the straight. Don't let up at all andrew.
what would be interesting would be if he took it out in 51 like you guys said, but that would negate his kick.

really, weating can't beat andrews... never has. the only way he has a shot is to tatically race him. Hope andrews stays back, and play the box him in game. you put andrews in the worst position possible, keep him boxed as long as you can and get as good of a jump on him as possible when you let him out of the box. thats the only way weating will win. positioning.
I too would love to see wheating and andrews in the back of the pack with 300 to go. But I don't see that happening - it will look like every other 800.
We should all try the Maggie Vessey method every once in a while. Run even splits, just utterly hammer the last 150. See what happens.
Stay in the back of the pack like always, take over with 400 to go, push the pace at 300 and hammer the last 200

Pretent that you are Wheating, how will you beat Andrews?
You don't. The writing is on the wall. wheating is just another great white hope.. That ain't.
Andrews owns him.
Who are all these idiots posting like the guy above? Wheating is not going to lose to anyone except Andrews, and if he does, it will be at the very end by a hair. Personally, I'd like to see Wheating pull the same move on Andrews, return the favor, as he is surely capable of doing.
a pre-race icing should do the trick. you got iced, bro!

One thing for sure Andrews and Wheating are both class acts...unlike so-o-o-o-o many on this board.
Pot meet kettle.

Wheating needs to have Vin put Brooks Johnson in charge of getting Andrews to the race on time.
Definitively you have proved yourself the douche that you are...

You really, really, really struggle for original lines, don't you?
Yes, you do.

Haven't you read the douche bag fan boy post here. They are all obviously gay. And by "gay" I mean they prefer to suck each other off.
Wheating has already done what he should do to beat Andrews - get to the final with as little effort as possible. There is more then a small chance Andrews will feel that 1:45 in the final and the 800 is one of those events that just being a small bit off really costs you. The most likely outcome tonight - race goes out in 51ish, Wheating runs a solid tacticle race staying near the front till the last turn and winning in a solid mid-1:45. Andrews hangs near the back, goes to kick and feels that prelim and is able to move past a few but ends up in 4th in 1:46 mid.
That said, what a fantastic frosh year for Andrews, much to look forward to.
don't think about him
relax
go through race routine
do the best you can
what ever happens happens
relax relax relax
I don't think either Robby or Wheating will win. The race will be an upset.
This happens so often in the 800m - the best (PR and kick -wise) do not neccessarily win a championship race where the main focus is on one or two guys.
Strategically the Wheating - Andrews set up plays into the cards of every single other runner in this final - who are not far off anyways with their PB's. Those guys should have ZERO pressure going into this final, they just need to go with the flow and kick.
I predict Andrews 2 -3 and Wheating 5-7 (kicking it hard with 250 to go and fading in the last 60 m.)
We will see...
I would like to see them both dawdle trying to stay behind each others and some no name takes them both out for the win.
