Pennsylvania
Andrew J. Lanham, Wooster, Ohio, graduated in May from Haverford College summa cum
laude in both English and philosophy. Andrew’s senior thesis was on Shakespeare’s Hamlet
and Nietzche’s philosophy, and he won numerous prizes across several disciplines. He also
ran cross-country for Haverford’s national top-ten team, and was elected its captain. He
served as head of the college honor council, and interned with the Pennsylvania Humanities
Council. He is currently a resident tutor for a nonprofit education organization serving
underprivileged minority students in the Lower Merion schools. Andrew plans to do a
D.Phil. in English at Oxford.
