Let's put this in perspective: Landis has spent HOW many years denying that he used PED's? Surely I'm not the only one who remembers his steadfast denials. So he lied, lied, lied. Or at least that is now what he is asking us to believe: that all those denials were the most flagrant sort of lying.
I'm not casting stones. I'm just following the train of logic that Floyd is demanding that we follow: "Guys, I've been lying for the past few years. All those denials? They were lies."
And, having demanded that we acknowledge his denials as lies, he now demands that we acknowledge his new representations--charges that he and Lance extensively discussed and took drugs--as the truth. "Guys, I HAVE been lying through my teeth for the past few years, but now I'm telling the truth. No, really!"
To say that he has no credibility is putting it mildly.
And please note: he's not demanding that we follow him in his logic-twisting about face--accept him as an admitted liar AND a truthteller--as a way of becoming accountable for his actions. He's demanding that we do that only if we simultaneously take down Lance.
Anybody who instantly sides with Floyd and declares him a truthteller in the face of this garbage is gullible with a capital G.
Haven't we learned ANYTHING after all this? Wait and see. Wait and see. Remain extremely cynical about Landis and his demand that we believe him. We've been through this before.
