He's gone 3:39.44 in the 1500, and 3:58.08i, as well as 7:57i. Maybe he hasn't turned into a world beater, but many great HS runners never improve. Acosta was an amazing HS runner, and has been a great college runner. I mean come on, it's not like his times are bad, and he hasn't gotten slower. Not to mention he looks to be having a breakthrough season. He went 340/358i at age 19/20, then as others mentioned had some injuries. He's now 22 and improving again. Its nothing to turn your nose up at.
