Too bad Masback killed Meth Town USA for you guys. USOC forced USATF to reorg because of Masback and Nike. There likely won't be anymore USAs and OTs in the state of Oregon for 50 years now. Plus, due to the depression and bad attendance, NXN will likely be moving to Houston or Orlando this November. The sport will continue with or without. Have fun.
You are incredibly wrong on NXN. While attendance is poor, so is Foot Locker no matter where you put it. Why? Because the general population doesn't care about high school cross country.
Furthermore, NXN isn't going to move. Nike invests seven figures into NXN every year. Moving it elsewhere takes the meet away from allowing kids to explore the Nike campus, basically living there for a few days when not at the meet hotel or race course. Moving it somewhere else would only raise costs, because you'd have to find other places for the teams to go, hang out, run, etc.
NXN isn't moving. Stop being a troll.
are you crazy. they have to move nxn since it's dead, dank, dull, and cold in december in portland. there's no horse racing nor other outdoor sports in the northwest then. people are stuck inside suffering. no wonder nxn has very low media ratings compared to footlocker.
there's a ton of guys want to run other distances. will USTAF add more races ?
no, oxy does well with middle distance, thats it. thats what its known for
Is Hazel Clark with Reebok now?
does ANYONE know if they are charging to go in and watch? and if so how much????????/
What media ratings? Cross country is supposed to be muddy, cold and wet. Stop being such a sissy. Foot Locker is old news. While San Diego is a great city, Foot Locker is dying, and dying fast. Let it go.
I don't understand the confusion. FL is crazy now. FL is increasing in popularity especially with the explosive resurgence in distance and cross country in the US. FL dominates HS XC in the USA as always. Web hits, fan interest, viewership numbers consistently report fantastic numbers. Los Angeles, San Diego, and the Southern California area in general remains the world's undisputed Capitol of Track and Field and Running, bringing home 33 of the 100, USA T&F medals from Osaka 2007, Beijing 2008, and Berlin 2009.
Stop bickering. Be happy that we have authentic Worlds and Olympics medalists and Major Marathon winners who live and train on the Pacific Coast: Lagat, Brad, Godina, Meb, Chelsea, Monique, Shawn, Deena, Shannon, Shalane, Stevenson, Brown-Trafton, Kara, Dawn, Carmelita, Natasha, Felix, Allyson, Clay, Lionel, Lashinda, Joanna, ...
I see the 1500 list has a few chumps in it, what is Nike coming to?
First they were dropping tons of athletes then they sign chumps??? Someone fill me in
Is this going to be online anywhere? Flotrack?? Runnerspace??
rupp is out for sure, not in town, he ran with Lagat for his time trial anyway

NTN (NXN) ruled. It's not for you non-qualifiers to sit at home and watch on your computers. It's for the kids and teams who qualified.

We will have the race videos for sure, but we are trying to do it live... no promises, but we are going to come over from CIF SS Finals about 30 minutes away. I will post an update shortly.
http://www.runnerspace.com/eprofile.php?event_id=3423RunnerStream will be covering the meet. They've got some pretty cool videos up of the previous Oxy meet.
I see LA's newspaper of record, the LA Slimes, is "all over this." Pathetic. More Floyd Landis, please!
We posted our videos. Check out our site. They're all HD and multi-cameras. We'll have interviews up soon.
