Anyone want to guess the significance of that time?
good prediction..just forgot about other guys in the race.

Not bad man
Glad to see Rupp did it, and just a second slower than my prediction. Would have been interesting to see an interview with him -- anyone report how he looked after the race? Was he happy? Bummed that he had his ass kicked by not only Solinsky but Chelanga?
Props to Solinsky -- he's been really solid the past couple years, and it's good to see him finally pop one. Interesting trend developing with Ritz and Sol breaking records outside of their specialties.
He was clearly disappointed. He swung his fist as he crossed the line.
This is a tough time to be gunning for ARs. The anointed -- like Teg and Rupp -- beat the records everyone picked them to break, but moments too late. And with the pipeline the way it is, they may never get those records.
Maybe tonight we finally learned why Teg don't run no 10K

Rupp wasn't even going to congratulate Solinksy until Jerry Schumacher turned him around and led him over to Solinksy. Check it out here:

I don't know how quick Rupp will run, but I do know Solinsky isn't running 27:29. He'll be lucky to be under 28.
I went ahead and paid the $9.95. Hope it's worth it (as in good quality video and even average commentary).
I think I'll have a big plate of crow for breakfast ...

Actually it does. The coach didn't usher Rupp back onto the track. He simply touched him on the back and probably told him something like, "nice race." It was a nice race. He ran exactly as he planned. It's just that he didn't budget to have enough gas left to outkick anyone. Thanks for the link.
I'll bet crow never tastes so good
