But it might be believable if you have been banging her on a regular basis.

Why do you think Chicago winning time would be that much slower? The course is fast and has held the WR. If Geb and/or Wanjiru get a good weather day...a WR attempt would be out of the question.
To break the WR...everything will have to fall into place...no matter WHAT races it is

lol @ LRC admins banning my account for referring to inhalers that Paula Radcliffe and Geb use for asthma as PEDs. not everyone gets approval for these and they present a distinct performance enhancing advantage for those who can(I was shot down by the NCAA despite having asthma since childhood, when I even used a nebulizer to buy time for the ambulance to arrive when I had an acute attack). you won't find an athlete in the world whose aerobic capacity isnt enhanced to some degree by the use of these devices. don't censor the truth just because you don't like it. last i checked LRC wasn't based in China

The guy faced Komen in the 5000 and came out on top, he faced Tergat at the 10000 and came out on top. He faced Bekele at the 10000 more than once and lost with class and dignity. The people dissing him focus only on his Marathon career and ignore his exploits on the track and so must either be using selective information or are just too young to remeber Geb on the track, and about 15 yrs old max.
Exactly.
Also, when he ran the current marathon WR, it's not like he wasn't competing. He had Kwambai right there, through 36k, and Gebrselassie had to screw on his game face, buckle down and compete to get the job done.
He did so in splendid fashion:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_Yk1xeSLRkThe weather seems to be be a big factor in Chicago, it can be very hot, very cold, and it is frequently windy. I think Chicago has more twists and turns as well.
I love the Chicago course but I just don't think its as fast as Berlin.

I'm surprised he thought 2:05 at Boston was "crazy". He must not have read the message boards here to see just how easy it is to run faster there than London or Chicago.
WTF? Yeah it's so easy that the world's fastest marathon is run there every year. Or... maybe not.
Geb knows that the 2008 Olympic 10,000 was a huge black eye in his career. He clearly trained threw it; and can def keep up w/ Tadese if he would actually have trained for a 10k. Geb really needs to stop talking about that race. His fans dont want to here about it anymore; and to his non-fans he just sounds not very smart. And fwiw, your kidding me if u think Geb can run 2:02 or even break his own record again. I love Geb to death; but he can only defy age to such an extent. I am pleased to here him giving props to the Kenyan boy who won Boston tho. That shows a lot of class, which is important to me. At least we know he wont sound like Frank Shorter when he retires; as I dont enjoy punching myself in the face.
I would be shocked if he took his records down any further. He's nearly 50 years old. It's amazing what he's been able to do up to this point.
He can do it! He can do it all night long!
he's going to need a better PED than an inhaler if he plans on doing that again. odds are if he does run that fast again, it wont be HIS world record that he's breaking
