You wouldn't be surprised if he run in the 27:20's??? I would be blown away.
I clearly meant that he is going to run much faster than that. Yeah...
Solid debut?
How about an American Record?
Can you tell me whos a better coach, Salazar or SCHU!

Solinsky will not run faster than 27:55. This would still be a solid debut.
so ummm..

Good for him to try different distances. Maybe his teammate Evan Jager will do that some day." [jjjjjj wrote]
Evan has run 1,500's, and he's run the 800 this past indoor season (1:50ish).
Ummm ... ever hear of a joke? In lieu of the old, tired Teg 10k reference, I switched it up and put in Jager's name.
I still think that my prediction of 27:32 was solid, given my reasoning. 26:59 does not mean that he can break 13 right now, because it may be that his training made 10k pace very comfortable, while 5k pace may not yet be comfortable, but this was an amazing breakthrough for a runner who had seemed to stagnate a bit the past couple of years.

None of these idiots are experts.
I think at this point I'd give the coaching nod to Schumacher. I mean he's taken a bunch of guys from Wisconsin and turned them into elite guys in a very short period of time. How long has Rupp the poster child of Nike had Salazar as his personal coach?

Some of them DO get sarcasm though.

'a bunch of guys from Wisconsin' who weren't much less accomplished than Rupp at the same ages. A bunch of all americans and national champions and footlocker champions; while with similar talent Salazar has done what he's done with Kara and Dathan and Galen. There's no way to decide this question, because they both have been really really successful over the last two years.

Yes, and as priceless as their comments are before races, sometimes their analysis after races produces almost as much brilliance.
Yes, and you're too stupid to comprehend the relevance...
Remember when?

For a second I thought he was running it again this year. You got my hopes up… Solinsky will return.
Armchair experts.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
