Hall fastest American ever at Boston!
Hall fastest American ever at Boston!
Anyone else notice Hall raising the arms and rejoicing with about 600-800m to go? Seriously...
He probably could have caught Merga if he didnt do all that weaving and crap when he turned onto Boylston!
Any Valerie Bertinelli update. Last I heard she is jsut under 6 hour pace. Maybe I will check out the message board for People Magazine adn the Boston thread.

No, Merga pushed once he saw Hall. Hall knew he had no shot with 1/4th to go.
But it's SUCH a challenging course.

This is sick. Guys are running sub 2:06 in Boston now.
Hall's time would have won last year. Poor guy, who would have thought someone would run under 2:06. Kinda like Olympic marathon in 2008.
looks like lehmkuhle finishes 9th in 2:12:24. great race for him. vega dropped back over the last 10k, 2:13:47. the website doesn't show a place for vega yet.
3 americans in the top 10 of the fastest boston marathon ever... not bad.
Is Valerie Bertinelli update?
I got the results:
Lemk 2:12:24
Vega 2:13:47
Great races for both!
hey universal, the time was 2:05:52, not 2:05:32
Hall was running back and forth across the road with his arms out like an airplane. He definitely could have caught Merga.
Wonder how Dathan would fare on this course.
49k? You sure about that?

Yeah just like Katie Holmes.
Seriously, she was wearing a black cap a black overshirt and red tee or something underneath that and black tights.
She's a lot plumper in person than she appears in those diet food commercials, too.
The two of them can battle it out next time.
ROFL
Nice race by Hall and Meb.
I actually like the fact that Hall hung back and stayed on the pace he was prepared to run. Not good enough for a win today, but on another day he could have had a good shot.
And Meb is awesome. Sounds like he ran with some courage and 2:09 is pretty sweet. Especially compared to expectations in the last week or so.
Really some pretty great performances from Hall and Meb. Hall might have been in front a little too much at the beginning, and Meb may have burned himself going with some of those surges to hard, but man- when the winner goes 2:05:52, thats just SICK. Both the Americans ran solid races, and in most other years, would have been right in the thick of things. Hall was 59 seconds faster than last year, and was actually 1 second faster than Deriba Merga was FTW last year! Meb was even still faster than second place from last year. Not to mention that Ryan almost ran down Mega for 3rd today. I gotta say- thumbs up to Ryan for running actually a very even and smart race. There was no way he was going to run 2:05:high today, but he did quite well.
Also- 2:05:52 at BOSTON? Are you SERIOUS? The previous course record at 2:07:14 was SICK for that course, but 2:05:52? Is he HUMAN?
