Merga and Cheruiyot having a gun battle up front.
Naturally they are focused on Erkesso trying to hold off second place, still 30 (+?) seconds arrears.

Cherry back in the lead, ahead of MErga. Dueling.

I agree. Before I checked this thread, the TV announcers lead me to believe Hall and Meb had blown up

Dude- seriously? They are both still running faster than they have at Boston previously, and Meb is on pace for a huge PR. Does it not occur to you that the leaders are blowing away the course record currently?
Someone needs to tackle Merg!
Be nice to know how Hall actually looks at this point. Meb looked dead going up a hill around mile 19 so i don't think he's going to have a strong finish but hopefully he can keep on trucking for a PR.
If hall has something left he may chew some people up over the last 3-4 miles.
Cheruiyot back and looks like he is surging.
Wow Brojos go eat your words. Pushkareva not even mentioned in your preview...
Quite unpredictable...
how is hall doing currently?

are we drug testing the russian after the race? what did she take at the 25k mark?
The last 10 minutes of women's race 2.5 miles--is gonna be fun.
A few minutes ago, the Ethiopian woman was "superhuman" with one of the most incredible performances Rawson has ever seen. Imagine how incredible the Russian woman who is catching her must be. She may actually have true superpowers...
Cheruiyot will win

The last chance Russia will win any kind of gold medal this year after they "bombed" in Vancover.
Pushky is going to win.
22 second gap between Erkessa and Pushkareva.
By my one-thousand count in my head, looks like the lead in the womens race is down to <15 secs.
Meb in 4th 80 seconds behind leaders
Hall in 6th 110 seconds behind
I'm going out to the course to see the women's finish
Cheruiyot surging and surging... course record??
