Derrick is on track and on his way to a good showing at Stanford in a couple of weeks. Nice to see Chris Barnicle steadily improving as well. Wonder if these guys are running the 10,000 at Stanford?

this was an excellent run by him...but not neccesarily a sign of improvement.(nor a sign he hasn't improved) I think most would expect this 5k ability from a guy that went 8:14 last year. But a def good start, and winning the race leaves room for him clearly possibly being faster.
