Nice work on the PR. Your experience is similar to my own, except I've been running longer now. I've got a wife and kids and it's difficult to find time to workout almost every day (including chaning clothes, showering, stretching, etc.). So I make do on 20-30MPW and squeeze in more if training for a marathon.
You seem pretty darn close to me. If you find a way to run that mileage consistently for a year or two you will be in a position to run <90 min. If you haven't ran much until recently then you are likely to get incrementally faster over the next few years. It will probably take working in some tempos or intervals to get used to running faster. It might also take running the race and dwelling on the negative comments you've gotten on this board... nothing like a bit of motivation.
