LA is hands down the worst big city in the United States. If LA is the T&F Capital of the World, we are in big trouble.
Don't they stay in RVs and fishing lodges while in Mammoth then come back home to L.A. where their relatives and spouses live ?

Yes, and Vladivostok is just OUTSIDE of Moscow.
So is the olympic division supposed to be the fastest? If so, why the f*** are Pixler and Folett not in it? Because they didn't like on their times or something?
invitational is the fastest
NY doesn't have a track meet? What about that thing at Icahn Stadium that Usain Bolt is coming to?
excited to see what scott smith will do in a 5k
1333 with a 55 last lap
who is scott smith and how did he get into the invite 5k?
Awesome to see Nicole Bush back in the fast stuff!
Also, I may have missed his name, but no German?
He ran 15:38 at Mt. Sac his sophomore year
I hadn't realized they were seeding the races based on high school cross country performances.
I'm thinking his 28:35 at Stanford had more to do with it. And unless they're doing other than the traditional "doping" up in Santa Barbara, 13:33 seems optimistic, to say the least.

Los Angeles, may be the Track and Field Capitol of the World, but it is disputed.

no meets no capitol wrote:Hardly a track capital if there is no track to watch. Pretty much any city in Europe which hosts a golden league meet can claim more than LA. Hell, Des Moines, Boston, NY, Philadelphia and Eugene have a lot more track than LA does.
And using your stupid logic New York does not have a track meet but Ithica has a pretty big one.
New York City has probably the most impressive track meet in the country. What meet are you talking about in Ithica?

Can any of those claim two Olympics? Didn't think so. LA is the track capital of the world. Acknowledge, move on, stop whining. And using your stupid logic New York does not have a track meet but Ithica has a pretty big one. Boston has no marathon but there is a pretty famous one that starts in Hopkinton, Mass.
Haha, so Atlanta and Seoul are essentially runners up to LA following your logic correct? No meets, no capitol period. The layers of dust upon the last meets attended there are piling up.
You simply be can't be a track capitol without track involved. Is this a hard concept?
Scott Smith was 4th at the NCAA West Regional for Cross and ran 28:35 for 10k at Stanford. He was also the mastermind behind the facebook group proposing that the UCSB Xc Team play the UCONN Women's Basketball Team. 13:40s for sure.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
