I agree with riverview, except for tactical races, times are times, whether D1 or D2 or D3.
And to C/M Runner's point that few D2 or D3 runners crack the top 20 in D1, so what? How many D1 runners would love to be in the top 40, 50 or 100 D1 times out of thousands of runners? And skimming the top season times for D1 runners doesn't mean that in many D1 meets D2 runner's times would more often place them in the top 20.
Let's face it, I bet many of the posters that continue to dog D2 or D3 are living vicariously and would get smoked in a race with the top D2 or D3 runners. So as many have said, don't say anything instead of continuing to denigrate D2 or D3 runners who work theior arse off to knock a minute or more off their HS 5k time and try and win a D2 conference championship. That fact that you don't care doesn't matter. If you don't carry that lesson into your work place you will never be able to take pride in doing a locally good job even if it isn't recorded in Business Week.
