You are graduating from college and you have to make a decision about what you want to do with your running. You are going to continue to train and compete at a high level. You are a 28:30/13:45/4:00 guy focusing on 10k and up. If you had the choice to get a GA and become an assistant coach at a program that had good runners would you take it. Of coarse this program would have good enough runners that you could train with them or it was an a area that has great surfaces and environment for training. Keeping in mind that you would be receiving a masters and gaining coaching experiance. Or would you go to one of the new or somewhat new training groups and completly focus on running, if you could get accepted into one of those groups.
I would like the masters personally as a good backup. I do not think you have to completly focus yourself on running to be good.
This could be a situation that numerous college seniors could be facing. Just some food for thought.
