since you obviously didn't get it, it's one thing to be off. ritz was off at US cross and still won handily. wheating was off at NCAA indoors last year and ncaa outdoors as well. he finished 2nd and 1st respectively. germans "gems" indicate a talent level that at the very least rivals guys like ritz and wheating if not exceeds them, but yet he has these miserable performances and/or dnfs. so i'll say it again, when he's not 100%, he's way off. that is what a head dr. is for and it's not a bad thing. it has helped other runners immensely.

I think that what beaul was trying to say is that a head doctor would have trouble fixing his achilles.
