You need better dreams, start dreaming about about the joys of accusing everyone faster than you of being a drug cheat and everyone slower than you of being worthless hobby-joggers. Then your dreams will become fulfilled at letsrun.com.
Also, if your dreams include predicting times based on worthless information. Or correcting grammar by poorly educated high school kids. Both of these dreams will become fulfilled at LetsRun.com as well.
Actually I'm kindof glad the one about being trapped on a water-filled spaceship with giant primordial shark hasn't come true yet.
Shutterfly: I am holding out hope.
Well, Shutterfly, please don't go slashing your wrists but I'm "seeing someone" as of late. But there's surely other gents around here who'd be happy to help you realize some of your dreams.

Don't hold your breath. This place is a magnet for hopeless cases, myself included. My stark reality consists of a closet full of muddy/worn running shoes, aching muscles/bones and endless frustration. But I choose to ignore my reality and run anyway. Kind of like how I choose to ignore the flashing lights on my car's dashboard.
I got the plane to take off from the treadmill!!!!
My dream came true, but I was dreaming about eating chips and dip.
Worst slogan ever compared to the product.
That slogan might work for Hedonsim.
the key to reaching your dreams is lowered expectations
Get real. It's not a dating site.
Anyway, it's still a better slogan than "The Place Where Anonymous Trolls Can Tear Down More Talented Runners."
"The Place Where Anonymous Trolls Can Tear Down More Talented Runners."
At least that slogan would make sense and relate to the product.
Or just say "Where Weldon's dreams become reality."
"Your" dreams is a bit presumptuous.
nope, i've been trying to break 15 in a 5k my whole life, started reading letsrun 3 years ago, and still haven't done it.
and...... Eddy Lee is still shooting for the sub 4 1500.
Seems like nightmares are the order of the day here.
still slow: nope, i've been trying to break 15 in a 5k my whole life, started reading letsrun 3 years ago, and still haven't done it.
To be fair, let's take another look at that slogan.
LetsRun.com: Where your dreams become reality
Notice that it doesn't promise that your dreams become reality in reality, but rather that your dreams become reality on LetsRun.com. Major distinction, right?
So that leads us back to what we've known for years. Your dream is to break 15? Hell, on LRC your PR can be 14:12, maybe even 13:45 on a good day.
Same here - I demanded a refund. They could not accomodate, but did give me lifetime free access to the site.

You obviously aren't spending enough hours reading. Bump up your reading to 100 hpw and your 5k times will drop.

Let's assume your PR is 18:41. Not only have you broken 15, you also broke 16, 17, and18! So, GREAT JOB!!! Your dream of breaking 15 has become reality. With this approach, I'm sure many will agree that there are many broken dreams on LetsRun.com.
I have actually improved a lot, partly from what I've learned here. I never really considered tempo/LT/AT runs as key to my training - and they seem to have made a huge difference. Even if I have no idea what the distinctions are between them all. (I just use 10 mile/HM race pace) I never had a great coach, so I am finally learning some of the science. I mean, if I wanted, I could have a close to world class coaching experience based on letsrun. That is really tremendous.
It has been fun reading about D1 running - I knew next to nothing about it. I had no idea there were so many fast guys in college.
Finally, the message boards are sometimes really good. Some really sincere, smart people who genuinely care about things. Sort of refreshing. The bad guys are, well, 15 years old and tolerable if not forgivable.
So have I met my dreams...well, my running dreams shrunk years ago. But I am exceeding my expectations, that's for sure.
You must not have found the secret page yet. Keep looking! Once you do, all your dreams will most certainly become reality.
