someone said distance position open at EIU, where is Masanet going? He has been developing good runners in that conference since he got there. Did he accept another position?

I heard that the Tulane head coach is just staying there for one year and then moving on. Apparently he was fired from his last job at UCLA in August. He was not prepared for this and he took the first job he could get his hands on. Is Tulane a good place to develop a track program? I wonder who will apply for the Tulane job when it comes up again on July 1st?
Its a great place if you like hurricanes
If I'm the Hunt Dawg and get hooked up at Akron the first call I'm making is to TJ Pierce.

Not going to happen. Brad is too white and too male to move up. He should be happy to have a job... even if he doesn't coach!
Clemson... The female who was on staff end of last year and beginning of this year is not on the staff anymore. Anyone know where she is?

Truly? I find that hard to believe. Source?
What is going on at EIU? Odd to have two positions open up right before the start of indoor.

Karen dennis just qualified a cross country team to the NCAA meet for first time in school history; she isn't going anywhere!

Ouch... they still suck:
1 Penn State
2 Illinois
3 Minnesota
4 Michigan
5 Michigan State
6 Iowa
7 Indiana
8 Ohio State
9 Purdue
10 Wisconsin
11 Northwestern
You are correct, though. She isn't going anywhere because she is a female minority.
How the heck did they go from 8th in conference to 2nd in the region?
Don't give Karen one ounce of credit for that. Coach Neal gets the props on cc. Take a peak at how many sprint points the OSU women have scored at Big 10 and NCAA since she has been there. You probably won't run out of fingers and toes on that one.
JaRod Tobler the jumps coach is heading to the olympic training center to train full-time for the long jump. too good an opportunity to pass up - he was 5th at the trials in 08. Masanet is heading to Texas where his fiance is working on a phd. Got a decent job offer (non-coaching)and decided to take rather than wait & see about what might be out there in June.

Actually he was 6th.
If Karen Dennis should go, so should Jim Stinzi (Wisc), Jack Wagner (Purdue), Walt Drenth (Mich St) and Layne Anderson (Iowa)...they have all finished below her in the Big Ten championships in recent years and have had more years as the head coach to get things going.
The OSU women are doing a great job in cross and their team was 5th at outdoors a couple years ago with ONLY sprints and one thrower.
Racists,
Iowa and Wisconsin didn't even make Nationals in cross country with probably three times as much scholarship in distance.
Purdue should be ashamed.

They should be so proud! cracked top half of conference!
