What do you consider a long run when you here other people talk about their WEEKLY long runs?
I'd say if I hear anything about 12-13 or above i give them a thumbs up. Just wondering what others think. I should say i am a college runner and i hang with college aged runners.
Normally, I'd say anything over 90 minutes. But when I was doing marathon training, I was doing that at least 6 days a week, so in that case, it was anything over 2 hours.
But in general, I'd say 90 minutes is a good rule. If you only get in 10-11, you're slow enough that maybe you don't need to be doing more mileage yet? The quick guys will get in 14-15 in that time, which is certainly long enough.
