Good comments. It is too bad letsrun posters are so jealous of their elite runners and constantly seek to tear them down. Others have compared letsrun posters to jealous little HS girly bitches.
POST OF THE MONTH!!!!!!This is soooooo true.
i don't know, he still walks kinda funny...

I just wanna put it out there. Webb looked like he was having fun doing that dorky video, and that's important, i hope he's having a good time with these guys and able to come back this year and make a statement. Best of luck Alan.
Please post an address for where I can find these "others" so that I can beat them.

Solinsky and Rupp really need to dip under 13. The conversation shouldn't even start with some of these guys until they've achieved that.
I agree with you. I'm not saying it'll happen, but potentially we could have this next year.
Ritz sub 13
Teg sub 13
Lagat low 12:50's
Web sub 13
Rupp sub 13
Solinsky sub 13:05 (sorry, I don't see him breaking 13)
Jager sub 13:10 (needs more years)
Derek sub 13:15
Fernandez sub 13:15
Not a bad list for a top 9 in America for the 5k.
Now if we could only get Hall back on the track for a couple of races....
Webb needs to take back his 2 mile American record or go after BK's 3000m

Yes because SO many Americans have done it already.
Ive been the biggest Webbfan for years. Its been rough recently but I'm glad to see I'm not the only supportive one here! GO ALAN!
I agree with the OP. I'm rooting for Alan to post some solid times in '10, and I think he will.
And I agree with many others on this thread that this is an exciting time for US distance running--both men's and (possibly even moreso) women's.
I briefly chatted with Alan at NXN. He seemed relaxed and happy. I was amazed how lean he has become. He was very gracious with a lot of people milling around him. My gut feeling is that we will see better things in 2010 from Alan and his confidence will return. I think this young guy has achieved a lot and good things lie in his future.

Lagat low 12:50s? Are you out of your god damn mind?
Webb's male-pattern baldness was suspiciously less obvious in that video...
Compare the following:

What do you think? Comb over? Rogaine? Plugs?
I'm a huge Webb fan. Hopefully Al Sal can bring him back to the level he once was.
I'd like to see Webb run fast 5,000s (and 10,000s, cross, and 800s) too, but I'd like even more to see him PR in the mile. He has the talent to run the WR in the mile. It would take a jump like Ritz had in the 5,000 this year, but it's possible.
I see a few sub 13 predictions for Webb but isn't Aouita the only 1:43/sub 13 guy? That kind of range is pretty rare.
An Alan Webb is pretty rare.
I'm definitely pulling for Webb, and always have. I just hope he concentrates on the 1500/mile. I think it will be an easier place for him to dominate. I also think it's his best distance.
I actually think he will be good enough to get close or break some WR's. If he didn't have so many downs in his career he would probably already be there.
The video was hilarious. I'd never pictured Alan Webb being "funny" in any way, probably my bad. I hope this signals something good for him.
Alan Webb is awesome!!!
Go Alan!!! I can't wait to watch this guy break all of his current PRs and F some S up on the world scene. We know his potential, let's see it actualized~!
WOOO!
That range is very rare, but in the instance of Webb it is very possible....we're talking about a guy who runs 1:43.8, 3:30.5, 3:46.9, 8:11 in the 2-mile, 13:10 5k, and a 27:34 in his 10k DEBUT. The man has monster range...the only other I can think of would've been El G.
I wish Alan the best of luck. He's one of the most talented in the world and I hope that he can make good on the potential that he's shown for so long. Go get em' Webb
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
