thanks for the advice on the splits break down. That really makes sense and I hope I can run more evenly like that when I get to my races
No I haven't but I will look him up. That's pretty tall and I know he's probably good if he's running for Oregon. I could end up changing my mind by the time I'm a senior but I like Notre Dame. I know their football is good but unsure of their track team, I still like that school though

As a response to the tread as a whole...what is a fair conversion for a 600m time to an 800m time? taking into account that one may be more of a 400/800 guy and another may be a 800/1500 guy. For example what would a 1:20 with relatively even splits translate to?
bump back to this question, iaaf says its about 1:53 but it also says the 5k equivalent is somewhere in the 14's so i think thats more or less looking at equivalent performances between different runners, not the same runner.
What do you think 1:20 indicates?

I ran a 600m time trial yesterday in 1:31.1 with splits of 57-400m, 34-last 200m. What might that convert to for the full 800m?

2:10.4 - 2:11
Well, I've already ran career than that for one, and in my 1600m time trial I came through 800m in 2:15 and hit 4:40.4 so I'm pretty sure that it's faster than 2:10-2:11 if I only slowed by only 10 sec after 800m in my 1600m
did you run in the Lubbock race?
I've been in San Antonio for the weekend. I ran at a race called the Santa clause shuffle at Lackland Air Force Base
