So, I'm in my second week back running after cross and I've been wondering what other people do to get back into shape. I usually take much longer than most people and have started to wonder what people do in the first few weeks and month after a scheduled break after a season is over.
I usually just go out and run like 30 miles the first week over 5 days then 40 the next over 6 days and then keep building up to my peak mileage. Usually, I have been just going out and running at whatever pace I feel like.
Does anybody do easy workouts within 2-3 weeks of starting back up? What do you all do over these few weeks while you build up mileage for indoor?
I'm just curious about this as some people say they run while others say they train. Those words don't seem interchangeable to me.
