Dibaba can tackle Paula's 26.2 record...it'll be tough, and require a lot of things to go right but when she's healthy, she and Mezzy are about unbeatable at any distance. Impressive time on a not so easy course.

African women will be faster than real americans..i.e. the white guys or native americans soon.
half of american "elite's" cannot beat dibaba.
this will never happen, for the simple reason, if a man cannot run faster than the women, then the man cant be called an elite runner, in that event.
example if a 100 meter sprinter who is male cant run a lot faster than 10.49 than he is not an elite 100 meter sprinter.

Even more impressive, her splits were 15:58, 15:25, 15:05!
Hello everybody there was a big article on Tirunesh Dibaba (and a small one on Sihine) in one of the local (Dutch) newspapwers and she also gave several (interpreted) interviews allow me to pick out some tasty tidbits from them...
1) Tirunesh's pacing (done by her younger brother Dejene!)
was too slow in the beginning (the first split!) she
was also suffering from stomach cramps during the latter
part of the race , Tirunesh said that if these things
weren't a factor she could have "easily" ran 45:50 (!!!)
2) Tirunesh states that she has gotten used to road-running
now but still plans to concentrate on the track until
the London Olympics , afterwards she will take a leave
from the sport to have (several) children. Eventually
she wants to move up to the (half)marathon.
3) Tirunesh feels bad about always beating her sisters
and "wishes that they were better".
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
