Great job by Meb and the rest of the Americans! Further proof we're on the comeback trail. USA, USA, USA!
Way to go Meb. What a great run
I will never understand the women and me who come to this site to say he is not American. Why not turn off your TV and go for a run. He is as American as you are. We have watched him run here since high school.
I do not remember anyone saying Salazar was not American because he was born in Cuba.

A great victory for an AMERICAN.Shut up you racist crap who think otherwise.
One query, not a criticism but overall were all the times of leading men and women a bit on the slow side this year. Was it weather conditions or what?
Big congrats to Meb and the Americans in the top ten, as well as JBS, a role model for us 50somethings!
It was great to see Meb pull away to win this one!
As for the previous poster's question about the times/weather. During my run yesterday (in the Philly area but conditions seemed pretty similar to NY), there were some windy patches--I would not have liked to face 26.2 miles in such conditions. That's is one tough bunch of runners!
Did Asmerom finish? Can't find his name in the results which leads me to believe he dnf'd.
He DNFd along with a few other elites
Why so few Kenyans in the race? Looks like the organizers wanted a US showing.

Is top ten @2009 USAMarChamps an OG trials Automatic A qualifier?
I believe it is only the time standards for entry into the Olympic Trials - nothing based on place at the US Mar Championship.
