Hi Babe!
I don't think I posted on the original thread, but PR is 16:04. I consider this my "slowest" PR.
I think the original thread was about PR's, not necessarily current times, so that's why the median time seems low.
For me,
PR 16:54
Current +/- 19:10
18:05 male, mid 20's. I am not a fan of any of my PRs.
I wouldn't be surprised if 16 was the average on the site. It is fast but not unrealistic.
Been running less than a year, 35 year old male who has never run before.
Using the recent 10k/2 - 30, I'd end up at about 20:30.
I'm willing to work harder, however my knees just won't let me (or more specifically, IT band). I had trouble with the left one when I started running, now nearly a year later, I've developed problems with the right one. Can't seem to consistently get above 35 miles a week (yearly weekly average is probably 20).

If you're motivated, you'll sort that (and probably another issue or two) out. Your ITB surely will let you run more in time, as you figure stuff out and as your body continues to adapt (as it will for at least a few years).
Foam (or PVC pipe) rolling, stretching and/or strengthening, ... and also shoes. Seems fairly common to get ITBS running in shoes with too much support. Consider trying more neutral and/or minimal shoes, even if the running shop said you need "stability".
I'll bite.

I think I'm probably in the 19's now but I'll know in a few weeks. Ran for other sports when I was younger, good short speed, picked up running 5 years ago at 228lbs for an exercise pact with the wife. At 195 now I'm fairly solid muscle wise. Maybe 10 more pounds to come off and I'll be at my HS weight and not a lot of body fat. I've been semi-content with ~20mpw for the last 5 years, but with a few months off to a yearly hip/leg injury. As of late I have a fire under my butt because I've been injury free over a year and I've been feeling stronger. I've been hovering at 30mpw for a month and staring at 40. No desire to race farther, just faster. Currently I'm subscribed to the letsrun RFAHADACBATTU plan. (Run for an hour a day and come back talk to us.) Aiming for sub 19 in 5 months, depending on next month's race.

Is there an honour for being the slowest man on the board?
I am 19, my Prs are
400:60-61
800:2:20
1600:5:15 or 5:17 (the first one was in a 5k race, the second was in practice, I didn't actually run meets that year)
3200:11:56 two mile split in 4 mile
5k:19:27
4-mile:24:48
10k:39:22
15k:1 hour, 5 minutes
Slowness runs in my blood
Your 400m time is faster than mine (63). You are young, you can certainly improve your times.
I'm probably the slowest man on this board that runs 90-100 mpw.
5k - 17:00
10k - 35:15
13.1 - 1:15:53
26.2 - 2:43:59
Eighteen minutes and forty-two seconds, a current PR.
38, been running 3 years, 17:15
I'm annoyed by the posters who feel the need to give excuses, i.e. I'm in my 30s, I've been running only for 1 year, etc.How fast you run is not important. It's how you act as an athlete. If you feel the need to give excuses then you are weak. If you can answer the question and tell your PR without any crap explanation, you are strong.

lifetime 5k pr is 14:35.
Today I can run a 17:00 5k.
Guy I run with lifetime 5k is 14:2x (yeah, he was faster than me) and can currently run in the low 17's as well, he can probably beat me but doesn't race anymore. He visits the sight but does not post.
I am annoyed by posters who are critical and do not post their PR. 17:15
i don`t care what people think of my times, hell, running is not even a sport, i`m a retired pro athlete...i run for fun and i like it
age 45
5k 18:06
10k 37:50
PR 16:34
Right now, i could probably run sub 15:50

That's possible I still think its pretty good if you have run 1:47 (aove site)
One of my mates competed against the coach (see above said his pr was 1:47) in question. My friend a 1:54 guy & was usually beating the '1:47' guy
The other (coach Steve in Ealing) claimed pr 1:56 never beat my friend pr 2:01
In summary 2 well know coaches - 2 lying b@stards - clear enough for you?
Now, what's your 5km time?
Don't be a prick just because you can't write. No that is not "clear enough" for some of us. Your writing lacks any commas or periods. Well, I guess you used ONE and a question mark. You also misspell words and leave them out altogether.
All kinds of runners lie about their times, why do you think that coaches are any different? Do you somehow think it is worse for a coach to lie? I guess it is considering that your PRs are more relevant to creating demand for your services than say, an accountant.
19:09
I don't ever post here, I just read.
32 year old male, 5'5" 128lbs, been running for 5 months.
5k pr taken from a recent 10k/2-30 is 22.36.
19:37 now in late 40s
17:45 in HS

I love it when people say shit like this.
Go out and run it before you claim it.
